About us

Manchester Bikes was formed in 2022 by combining Manchester Bike Hire and Bambino Biking.

Manchester Bike Hire was started in July 2013 with a handful of hire bikes. Founder Pavol Gajdos was joined by Richard Armitage in 2014 and Stefan Ondo in 2016.

Bambino Biking started in 2016 when two biking parents, Chris Leakey and Anna met in the park. They were both thrilled to find another stay at home parent equally as enthusiastic about cycling with children.

Chris and Pavol met in 2017 at a cycling event they were both exhibiting at.  With a shared passion for active travel and utility cycling they started working together.  

Manchester Bikes based at their shop in Chapel St is now on of the biggest  suppliers of cargo bike and trailers in the UK.

Our services:

Sales: Cargo bikes, e-bikes, city bikes, kids bikes, commuter bikes, cargo trailer, family cycling accessories.

Hire: A  huge variety of bikes to hire from 1 hour to 1 month at a time. 

Repairs & Servicing: Our experienced mechanics can service and repair almost any bike. 

Events: Demonstration and trail and advise sessions for cycling and active travel events.

Fleet and contract management: we mange a range of  public  and private hire bike fleets.  Full or part, maintenance and management services available. 

Consultancy:  Got a project involving bikes, need some help getting going.   We can help with paid consultancy, bid writing and procurement off bikes.
